Can somebody say Class ’56 reunion?!

We sure can because this Friday the 30th marks 60 years since the class of ’56 graduated from the old campus, and they asked us to come celebrate. We love a good celebration, so naturally we accepted the invite. The icing on the cake: it’s also the 100th anniversary of Shorty’s. Hot Dogs anyone?

After the reunion celebrations in the morning, we are opening up the party for all of our Golden Deacs! The Streakin’ Deacon is partnering with the ZSR Library for the Oral History Project (more on that later!), so we will spend the afternoon collecting 5 Minute Memories on board the RV.

We almost forgot to mention! For this inaugural ride to the old campus, we have the honor of carrying two ’54 grads. They were roommates back in the day and still consider each other best friends. Those are the kind of relationships forged at Wake Forest. Ones that last a lifetime. Chills.

While we are in the Triangle, we figured it would show our support for the undefeated Deacs as they take on the Wolfpack at Carter Finley Saturday. We got a killer tailgate parking spot in the Trinity Lot (hint, stop by, hint) and we are hosting Triangle alums with beverages and light snacks. We’ll have the Sky Deck open and the T.V.s going. We are so excited for our FIRST tailgate!!

In summary, it’s going to be an awesome weekend!
