Whether you like to gather together with your fellow Deacons in your local community or your prefer to connect with Wake Foresters based upon your interest, identity, or professions — there is a group for you!
WAKECommunities are made up of alumni, parents and friends interested in connecting with each other and the University. By reflecting the best of the Wake Forest experience – the friendliness of social interaction, the stimulation of intellectual discussion, the excitement of athletic competition, the satisfaction of service to others – WAKECommunities programs remind all who attend of the special qualities that enriched their Wake Forest experience. For more information about WAKECommunities, please contact Evan McMillan (’07), Director, Regional Programs and Engagement at email@example.com.
Wake Forest University Affinity Groups are communities of alumni, parents, students, and friends of Wake Forest connecting on the basis of shared interests or experiences. Affinity Groups are created by alumni around a profession, special interest, identity, or student group and provide alumni, parents, students, and friends with opportunities for networking, professional or personal development, lifelong learning, resource sharing, and an expanded sense of community. Similar to our regional alumni communities, Wake Forest Affinity Groups exist through the support of a volunteer leadership team that provides opportunities for virtual interactions and in-person events, on campus and out in our communities, that bring the Affinity Group members together in support of the group’s mission. For more information about all affinity and identity programs, to get involved with an existing affinity group, or to plan an affinity reunion, please contact Gray Godwin (‘09), Associate Director of Affinity & Identity Programs at firstname.lastname@example.org.
