Winston Louis Bissette Jr. (‘65, P ’94, P ’97)

Asheville, NC

A man of perpetual intellectual curiosity and nationally esteemed professional acumen, Lou Bissette can’t say no to a cause in which be believes. His service has reached education, the environment, the arts, economic development and health-related charities. Along the way, he served two terms as mayor of Asheville, N.C., and is listed as one of the Best Lawyers in America.

Kathy Killian Noe (’80)

Seattle, WA

After Killian Noe graduated from Wake Forest in 1980, she quickly declined the comforts of home for a life of service thousands of miles away. That first adventure, in which she mentored youth and volunteered in a hospital in the Gaza Strip, began a remarkable journey. Since then, she has founded addiction-recovery programs in Washington, D.C., and Seattle that pick up where conventional, impatient rehabilitation center services end.
