On Friday, December 4th, The Traditions Council hosted it’s first annual “ChrisP Day”, which was a tremendous success! The student group of the Office of Alumni Engagement put together this special event in partnership with Sports Marketing to honor Wake Forest legend Chris Paul, celebrate the big game vs. Arkansas that night (#GoDeacs) and engage with the entire student body around Wake Forest traditions.

In the Council’s continued goal to be able to fund a legacy scholarship, the group sold over 200 t-shirts and gave away over 1000 donuts, courtesy of Krispy Kreme, another Winston Salem staple, and the inspiration for the event’s fun name “ChrisP Day”! The Traditions Council is so thankful for the effort and time spent from members of the Office of Alumni Engagement, Athletics and Advancement in making Monday’s event a part of Wake Forest memories that students will never forget. Check out the Traditions Council Facebook page for more pictures from ChrisP Day 2015, and to keep tabs on upcoming events. Go Deacs!

“I love Traditions Council because having grown up a Wake Forest fan, I love living and breathing the Wake Forest life and participating in all the famous traditions I always heard about growing up. I want to help spread the uniqueness of our traditions to all students here on campus so that we as a community can come to love Wake Forest even more. I was extremely excited when I heard we were going to start a ChrisP Day, and it was an honor to get to help plan this special event honoring CP3.”
