Last month the Atlanta Club hosted their 2nd Annual Wake Forest All Society/Sorority event. Over 50 women gathered for brunch at the Swann Coach House in Buckhead.

Hosts included:
Lisa Snodgrass (’95), Thymes Society/Kappa Alpha Theta
Ashley Armstrong Koontz (’95), Fideles Society/Chi Omega
MaryBeth Magee Smiley (’89), Lynks Society
Sandra Mills Barker (’80), S.O.P.H. Society
Carol Banister Adams (‘75), Strings Society
Lydia Mitchell Hilton (’84), Thymes Society
Allison Dick (’06), Chi Omega
Caroline Ginman (‘04, MSA ’05), Delta Delta Delta
Rachelle Fasen Kuramoto (’96, MA ’98), Kappa Delta
Ashley Edmonson (’99), Kappa Kappa Gamma
Colleen Rezendes (’09), Pi Beta Phi

The brunch provided a social setting for Wake Forest alumnae to reconnect with society/sorority sisters who live in their community. It was also an opportunity for women of all societies/sororities to once again proudly wear their colors and badges!

Looking to host a function like this in your local area? This event typically attracts ladies who graduated prior to the 1990s, so it is a great way to reach out to an oft-neglected demographic of alumnae. Wake Forest has a unique heritage and tradition of societies vs. sororities prior to the early 90’s which is to be remembered and celebrated.
