The Distinguished Alumni Award is conferred annually at a signature event that celebrates the awardees’ achievements. The 2014 Distinguished Alumni Awards were conferred on Friday, April 11. This year’s recipients are Karen Bruton (MBA ’84), Norman “Norm” B. Kellum, Jr. (’59, JD ’65, P ’96), and James “Jim” T. Williams, Jr. (’62, JD ’66, P ’89, P ’92).
She made millions as a conscientious trader and impressive money manager. But, it wasn’t enough. Karen Bruton (MBA ’84) realized the greatest gift was not the one she received, but the one she could give. By starting Just Hope International, Karen is now able to give back to those around the world who are neglected and forgotten.
